MPEG-4 Part 14 or MP4 is a digital multimedia container format most commonly used to store video and audio, but it can also be used to store other data such as subtitles and still images. Like most modern container formats, it allows streaming over the Internet. The only filename extension for MPEG-4 Part 14 files as defined by the specification is .mp4. MPEG-4 Part 14 (formally ISO/IEC 14496-14:2003) is a standard specified as a part of MPEG-4.
The effect, in a real life demo, seems to arise because the brain takes longer to process the filtered, darker signal coming via one eye. The position of the pendulum at each moment therefore appears slightly different in each eye. The effect mimics the signal that would reach the brain if the distance of the pendulum from the eye was varying cyclically. I know what the formats are. My question (and please try to read the post) was how to configure ffmpeg to only create the .mp4 in lieu of creating more than one format when it renders the video. I select only .mp4 in Animator but ffmpeg created multiple file formats anyway. This is a waste of storage space and time because I have to go delete the formats I do not need and I am asking Fredo6 how the selection works in Animator to configure ffmpeg.
OK, thanks. Even though it does not take much time it is a file management issue. If I select only .mp4 that is what i want. I have about 40 individual clips and if it is rendering multiple file formats, it just adds work to the project. Thanks again.
This has been happening to me too...Super frustrating, especially when working with teams where some have updated and some haven't. The ONLY fix so far that I've found is to revert to an earlier version of premiere pro. (Hope you have older autosaves) Also, I was having this same issue in After Effects with certain .mp4 files, however that seems to be fixed now.
I managed to find another way to import MP4 files, since i only was able to import one file at all. Every file that i added went afterwards "audio only".So i have to always add atleast two files at the same time, in order to work properly. Afterwards i can delete the second file.This Bug didn't show up at october 2019, but the november 2019 update brought that in.Sry for answering to such an old thread, but it took me 2 days to figure that out. And there is no help out there for this problem.
Notice: Some users may not see the .mp4 file extension just like the following picture, because it's hidden. In such a case, we need to unhide the extension in order to change the file suffix .mp4 to .aax.

As already stated. Unless the .mp4 extension is exposed by the URL, this link will not work. That means for most common video sites such as youtube and vimeo, linking directly like that will not work in this component. This is due to the nature of how vimeo and youtube protect their videos.
